Information, Advice and Support Programme Manager

Martin oversees the government funded Information Advice and Support programme and has established it as a successful contributor towards local service improvements and the implementation of the special educational needs and disability reforms agenda.

He is a key lead in seeking new business opportunities at CDC whilst introducing overall improvements to processes, procedures, organisational transparency and accountability in all business related matters. 

Before joining CDC in 2013, Martin had a career as a Civil Servant for over 13 years in Whitehall working closely with Ministers in major roles at the Department for Education (DfE). Working across areas including Sure Start, School Standards and the Ethnic Minority Unit, Martin’s policy area specialisms lie in ethnic minority achievement, special educational needs, race relations in schools, one-2-one tuition, Pupil Premium and Forces Children Education - the latter over a 5 year period working in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and Treasury.

Martin is driven by compassion and his enthusiasm for improving outcomes for families and young people and led the Independent Support programme for 4 years with success. When it comes disability and SEN issues Martin believes there is no better organisation than CDC to put that into practice.
