Tom Quilter

Senior Development Officer – Education

Tom is responsible for the development of the information, advice and support services network – managing the online forums and working alongside local IAS’s up and down the country to help them stay connected and ensure sure they have the training, information and tools that they need.

Tom has worked with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities since he was fourteen, starting off as a one to one befriender before going to university to study Social Policy. In the ten years since leaving university he has held a variety of roles within both local authorities and the charity sector, including running, developing and managing short break services, delivering participation projects and campaigning and influencing for the rights of children and young people.

In his spare time he enjoys running, and since starting CDC in 2019, and when not traveling around the country, he has very much enjoyed exploring the running routes around East London, an area that turns out to be surprisingly green!
