I'm a social worker

We understand that social workers are under increasing pressure and are taking on more and more complex case loads with fewer resources to support their work.

The language of legislation and the recent changes to policy and practice-in-the-field adds to the pressure, creating a challenging environment to navigate. We recognise these challenges and undertake to address them through the work that we do. We have developed a number of resources to help you unpick and understand the various duties in the Children and Families Act, Care Act and Mental Capacity Act and we've developed workshop sessions to help you in practice delivery.

We're also working on a number of projects to support the development of innovative practice in the sector and are working with local authorities to share the learning nationally whilst supporting practice development at the local level. We've picked a few resources that we think will help you in your day-to-day work. You can find links to these and more in our Resource Hub and our Events Hub.

If you have any questions or are interested about getting involved with any of our programmes give us a call on 020 7843 6000.
